Obituary For Vincent DeMartines

Vincent DeMartines Jr. beloved husband of Carolyn DeMartines, loving father of Ashley and Amber, and truly loved by his adored pets Bella and Cino departed us on May 25th 2024 at the age of 47 years old. He was the dear son of Vincent DeMartines Sr. and Jenine DeMartines, fond brother of Carmella, Anthony and Linda and was son in law to Joseph Neri and the late Linda Neri. He was a brother in law to Steven and Paul Neri as well as Rosie Neri and Jennifer DeMartines. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Vincent was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y and resided in Staten Island NY until his passing. Vincent went by Vinny to family and friends, Uncle V to his nieces and nephews, husband to his wife, and Dad to his daughters. He worked at JP Morgan Chase as a VP Product Manager and was granted a patent for Method and Apparatus for project transformation and migration automation. Vincent commanded any room he walked into, in the most best way possible. He had a kind, caring, empathetic heart and gave the best advice. He was quick witted and even quicker to crack a joke, it came as second nature for him to brighten up any room. If he was in an elevator full of strangers, he would walk out with all new friends. He worked so incredibly hard to provide for his family every single day and loved them unconditionally. He will be missed dearly but in our hearts, forever.

Viewings are going to be held on Wednesday 5/29/24 at 6pm-9pm and Thursday 5/30/24 at 2pm-4pm and 6pm-9pm at Hanley Funeral Home 60 New Dorp Lane, Staten Island NY 10306. The funeral mass will take place at 10:15am at St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, 644 Clawson Street Staten Island NY 10306.

In lieu of flowers, a Gofundme page has been created to assist with funeral costs:

Vinny was a great colleague to a lot of us, our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

Remembering Vinny's smile, sense of humor and the fondness in his eyes when he spoke of his girls. The last I saw Vinny was on May 24th and it was shocking to receive the sad news of Vinny's passing few days later on Monday. The most recent memory I'll cherish is of Vinny cuddling his little white furry friend on his lap. Today, we were supposed to meet again, but God has His own plans. Rest well Vinny, you will surely be missed. Heartfelt sympathies to Carolyn, Ashley, Amber and rest of the family. May God grant you all the grace and courage to deal with this grief. Love and Prayers - Tina

It's so profoundly sad to hear the passing of my dear colleague and friend, Vin. Vin was more than just a colleague; he was a family member to many of us. Known for being the first person in the office every morning and the first to crack a joke, Vin's lighthearted nature always brightened our days. My mornings didn't start without hearing his signature, "What's up, kiddo?", and hearing all about his beloved girls and weekend events over "tea" and breakfast. He loved teasing me about my British accent, especially the way I pronounced "tea." We shared pictures of our dogs and discussed the latest happenings at work. His desk was a hub of laughter and camaraderie, and his absence is felt deeply. Vin's big heart was always evident. He was constantly looking out for others, always ready to lend a helping hand and offer honest advice on life events. His genuine care and concern for everyone around him were unparalleled. It's hard to believe he has been taken from us so suddenly. Vin's legacy lives on through his amazing daughters, who are a testament to the incredible father he was. His heart was too big for this world, and it seems God had other plans for him. We will forever remember Vin's kindness, humor, and the joy he brought to our lives. He was taken too soon, and his absence leaves a void that can never be filled. Rest in peace, Vin. You will be dearly missed. Love - Lu Lu, Simon, Emily, Oliver & Rosie x
