Obituary For Suzanne M. Reynolds

Suzanne M. Reynolds of Staten Island, New York passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on February 16th at the age of 93.
She is predeceased by her husband, Peter J. Reynolds and her daughter Mary E. Reynolds.
Suzanne was a proud mother of her surviving children, Suzanne Della Ratta and her husband Carmine, Jeanne Greisman and her husband Scott and Peter Reynolds and his fiancé Ann Viegas.
She was a dedicated grandmother to Shannon Reynolds, Anthony and Elizabeth Della Ratta, Amanda, Daniel and Julia Greisman.
And great grandmother to Amanda and Nick Duffy’s twin girls Stevie and Norah.

Born on August 22, 1930 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Howard and Charlotte Morrison, she was the second oldest of four children, loving sister to the late Gene Morrison, Jayne Jennings and Mary Burns.

Before her marriage in 1960. Suzanne and her sisters toured the world with the USO, supporting the troops abroad, performing in many countries such as Germany and Japan as the singing group The Morrison Sisters.
Suzanne and her sisters shared the stage with many notable stars of the day - such as Jimmy Durante, Buddy Hackett and Bob Hope. They also recorded numerous albums and performed on the radio. Her love of music continued later in life when she became a successful local DJ bringing much joy to the crowds she played for. And she even consulted in the Atlantic City performances of Jimmy Roselli.
Suzanne was always creative, in addition to her singing, she created beautiful drawings of her children and grandchildren and she designed and sewed her daughter’s wedding dresses. She taught herself to knit and crochet and made blankets for all her family and friends.
Suzanne always downplayed her talent and did not boast, but that talent always shined through. But above all she enjoyed her time with her family and spent much of her time with them with a laugh and a smile.
Her family will celebrate her life at a Memorial Mass at a later date.
