Obituary

Michael Patella, age 41, passed away peacefully on eagle’s wings, Thursday, June 22, 2023. Born in Staten Island, New York, he resided there for many years before moving to New York City. Michael was blessed with an immense artistic gift and considered a legend in the graffiti community. He loved experimenting with cooking and could make something out of nothing. His mind never stopped. He loved all animals but cherished a certain bond with his cat Delta. He would keep his family on high alert wondering what stray he would bring home next. Family and friends knew Michael was a loving soul with a tremendous heart.

Michael is predeceased by his dad, Robert T. Patella. Surviving is his son Michael, beloved mother, Evelyn Patella, his brother Robert Patella and wife Chere, his niece and nephews, sister Helen Patella and fiancé Robert Spiegel.

Viewing hours will be held at the Hanley Funeral Home, 60 New Dorp Lane, Staten Island, New York, Tuesday, June 27, 2023, 3:00pm to 6:00pm with a service to follow at 6:00pm.
