Obituary For Mary DiMatteo
Mary DiMatteo 72 of Annadale, Staten Island New York, Beloved Wife, Mother and Grandma Passed away on June 26th, 2023, in Matawan, New Jersey surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was a cashier for 20+years at Shoprite on Hylan Blvd Staten Island, she loved her coworkers almost as much as she loved her customers. Spending time with her family always came first as she was the heart of her entire family. In her off time, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her pup Olivia.
Mary was predeceased by the love of her life her husband Leonard DiMatteo who passed away in 2016 and her grandson Nicholas who passed away in 2014.
She is Survived by her son Lenny and daughter in law Tammy as well as her daughter Danielle.
Her heart in human forms her grandchildren, Alexis, Ashley, Lenny, Garretson, Ryan and Grace.
She is also Survived by her brother Joseph Buongiorno and Sister-in-law Rosina along with many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Visitations will be Friday June 30 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Hanley Funeral Home and Funeral Mass will be July 1 at 11am at St Anns Church

I knew MARY AS A CASHIER IN SHOP-RITE. SHE WAS ALWAYS NICE AND CARED ABOUT OTHERS. THERE WERE TIMES THAT I NEEDED A HAND AT THINGS AND MARY WOULD OFFER ONE OF HER FAMILY MEMBERS TO HELP ME. WHEN I HAD AN ACCIDENT YEARS AGO, MARY WAS OM MY SIDE AND WANTED JUSTICE FOR THE PERSON WHO HARMED ME. I AM SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS.
