Obituary

Joseph Thomas Wiley, 87, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2023. He was born in Brooklyn NY to Angelina and Joseph Wiley. After serving in the Marine Corp, he moved to Staten Island with his wife and young son, in 1972. They bought a house and raised all of their children in that home where he lived until he died.

He enjoyed playing cards, watching the horse races and sports. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Whether it was a Sunday dinner, a BBQ, or just sitting in front of the house in the swing telling stories from when he was young, he was happy. He was sweet, funny and all who knew him, loved him.

Surviving him are his wife of 57 years, Michelle Wiley, his 4 children, Joseph Wiley Jr., Keith Wiley, Angela Santos and Joanna Wiley, Daughters in law, Barbara Wiley and Nancy Wiley, respectively, Son in law, Rick Ostrowski, partner Jennifer McCarthy, grandchildren Joseph Wiley III, Keith Wiley, Erica Gorda, Nicholas Wiley, Laurina Wiley and Sofia Santos.

There will be a service at Hanley Funeral Home in New Dorp on Wednesday , September 20 from 7-9pm.
