Irene was very dedicated to her students and truly made an impact on their lives, keeping in touch with them even after graduation.
She was always a very generous person. When her children were younger, Irene enjoyed volunteer work with the Girls Scouts and the Mothers’ Club of Our Lady Queen of Peace School, and later at Eger Nursing Home with her students. She donated generously to the various causes she supported
Irene was a long-time active member of OLQP Church, singing in the choir for many years, also serving as a Lecter and Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed visiting friends, going to the beach and spending time with her grandchildren, who she showered with love and attention.
