Obituary

Cindy Campbell (nee Bryant) 65, a lifelong Staten Islander, passed away on Saturday, July 29th after a brief & courageous battle with cancer.

Cin or Meemee, as her grandsons lovingly called her, was born on September 12th, 1957 to the late Robert and Virginia Bryant (nee Shaw) and grew up in Stapleton.

Cindy and her husband Brian settled in Dongan Hills where they raised their two children. Cindy started her healthcare career at Eger Nursing Home, and retired after 20 years of service at Staten Island University Hospital in 2012.

Cindy enjoyed spending her time gardening, shopping, going to concerts with friends & spending time with her two grandsons. She was a lover of dogs, Elvis, and reality tv.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 37 years, Brian G Campbell, brother Robert A Bryant, and her son Brian S Campbell.

She is survived by her daughter Kristen Maragni, (nee Campbell), son in law Dennis J Maragni, and her two grandsons Brian Campbell and Jackson Maragni.

Cindy will be remembered for her unwavering strength and generosity. Neither hard times or cancer robbed her of who she was.

Viewing is Wednesday August 2nd at Hanley Funeral Home 2-4, 7-9. Funeral is Thursday August 3rd St. Ann’s Church 10am.
