Obituary For Anna Frankini

Anna Frankini was born on July 21, 1932, in Baranello, Italy to Caterina and Frank Camardo. She moved to Richmondtown when she was three years old. She was the oldest of five sisters. Growing up on Staten Island, Anna attended New Dorp High School. After marrying Lloyd Frankini in 1967, she remained in Richmondtown and raised her two daughters, Catherine Kramer (George) and Elizabeth Frankini Laginestra (Michael).

Her role as a grandmother to Gannon Balseca, Kevin and Ryan Kramer was a source of immeasurable joy. She loved reading, doing word searches, watching reruns of Gunsmoke and listening to her husband sing and play his guitar. She religiously prayed the rosary while watching Mother Angelica. Her travels to Italy, Florida and Atlantic City with her daughters, and son-in-laws created cherished memories.

Anna worked in NYC for Midland and NY State Insurance Company, retiring in 1996. A devoted parishioner of St. Patrick's Church, Anna's faith guided her throughout her life. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Her beloved husband Lloyd predeceased her in 2020.

Anna Frankini will be fondly remembered for her devotion to family, and love and commitment to her Catholic faith. In this time of grief, let us celebrate Anna's life, may we find comfort in the memories we have shared, and her love will live on in our hearts forever.

Family and Friends will be received on Wednesday August 23rd, from 5 to 9 P.M., at Hanley Funeral Home, New Dorp. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 11 A.M.in St. Patrick's RC Church, Richmondtown. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.

Catherine, George and all of the family, please accept our deepest sympathy and condolences at this difficult time. I recall the last time I had the pleasure of spending some time with your mom - she was smiling, laughing as we all talked. Ms. Frankini was obviously a person who lived a full, joyous life. Even after recently losing her beloved Lloyd, her faith and family sustained her; she was a joy, and Heaven has a beautiful Angel. Love - Joe and Kris
